Francis Scott Key Fitzgerald, né le 24 septembre 1896 à Saint Paul, Minnesota et mort le 21 décembre 1940 à Hollywood, est un écrivain américain. Chef de file de la Génération perdue et représentant de l'Ère du Jazz, il est aussi celui qui lance la carrière d'Ernest Hemingway. Son roman le plus célèbre reste Gatsby le Magnifique, succès planétaire qui fut adapté de nombreuses fois au cinéma, à la télévision ou sur scène.
